The volume scheme drop down bar is not selectable, same with the "Options", but the + and - are. The problem is, whenever I select + and it's creating a partition map, it gives me an error telling me that Im out of free space when I have 50GB left, and my whole hard drive only takes up 22. It also may say unable to find volume. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Sorry you are having a tough go of it

You might want to try restating your problem and providing more information...

Leopard? Tiger? and version number
Your hardware set up (MBP, MacBook, etc.)
Specs for your system

And then outline what you have tried and the responses you get in clear, concise format

I'm sure one of the gurus will be along to help you if you give them enough information ;)

Actually, it worked when I put in the OS X install disc that came with the Mac(mini) and used that disk utility. It still doesn't work from the actual OS itself. It's a 1.83ghz C2D mini with Leopard 10.5.3, and it currently has 1 partition.
