Disk Utility Not Partitioning Correctly?

Hi all,

I have been using an 8Gb USB thumb drive for a while now for transferring files between my Macs and Windows PCs, however, recently the thumb drive either wont show up in windows or Windows will only recognise it as a 200mb drive.

As i recently used Dsk Utility to erase the thumb drive, I am led to believe that disk utility is at fault.

Any ideas of what I can do to get windows to recognise it again? Third party disk utility?
