Hello,

Can anyone out there explain why the Disk Utiility Progress Bar, just sits at a fixed Time now, until it is finished with a scan? Time displayed is No longer even an estimate. Basically it is does NOT show Progress,
Is this a SNOW LEOPARD inherited issue?

Confused

Thanks

What are you doing in Disk Utility?

Repairing or verifying a disk (internal or external HDD, CD/DVD), verifying or repairing permissions on an internal or external HDD, and did the process finish or not?

When i used Disk Utility (yesterday or the day before), I repaired a disk and the estimate was 1 to 2 minutes and the progress bar was mostly in the 25% range. After a while (30 seconds or more), the progress bar rapidly finished its course and the repair was finished within the estimated time.

Yeah, that happened immediately after the update for the new Trackpad, as I ran permissions repair immediately before and after installation...and noticed the difference. Will probably revert to normal when 10.6.5 comes out.
