Disk Utility: secure erase free space failed couldn’t create temporary file Any Luck!
 
How much free space do you have on the drive?
hi JohnDs I m tony i m having an issue installing Mavericks on a Mac Pro 1.1 First Generation Early 2007 i upgraded the video card ATI RADEON 5770 1024 and Ram to 14 Gb i tried following the step on soft32 website and replaced the boot.efi but no luck i m maby missing some step can you help me ? to fix that with team viewer ?? let me know if you want add me on facebook Tony Msfv

How much free space do you have on the drive?
I Have 7 Gb of space..... i ve done it by using The Command R at the startup.... but if i open disk utilities when i m logged in does not work......
 
A lot of people are reporting that you have to log into the restore partition using command-r to successfully run secure erase free space.

And 7 Gigs of free space is not enough. You need to clean out your hard drive so you have at least 10% free.
