I just ran disk utility and got a message that came up with this

The repair disk is grayed out. Could someone help plz.
 
You cannot repair your system volume when you have booted off that same volume. You need to boot the install DVD that came with your Mac and launch Disk Utility after having booted off the DVD. That will allow you to run a repair on your system volume.
