I might be upgrading to a Samsung 830 SSD and I was wondering what the difference is between using Disk Utility and Carbon Copy Cloner. Is one of them better? What does one do that the other doesn't? Would it be easier and simpler to use Disk Utility or Carbon Copy Cloner?

I have a late 2008 aluminium unibody MacBook.

Both can clone a drive, but CCC can keep the clone current with incremental backups on a schedule that you choose. Once you set up CCC, you can forget about it and let it keep your bootable backups current.

Great so it's better to use CCC, thanks.
