Disk Warrior keeps spitting out..... does this mean bigger problems?

I want to run Disk warrior as general maintenance on my mac.

The DW disc kept spitting out, so alsoft sent me a new disc. Same it spits out.

They say The problem is in the computer.

Either an application is interfering or the optical drive is starting to fail.

HAs anyone had this issue? How can I tell which it is .... and which app and
what will happen if my optical drive is starting to fail, there have been no other signs of anything.
