I'm having problems with my HD and have tried everything to fix it with no luck. I'm down to - DISK WARRIOR - attempting to fix the problem, but at least saving the data; or DATA RESCUE 2 - attempting to save the data, erase HD, and rebuild. A Mac Genuis at the Apple store told me that Disk Warrior is destructive and could wipe out my data and ruin my HD. He pushed Data Rescue. Any one have any experience with either of these?

Disk Warrior or Data Rescue II ?

Well Data Rescue will attempt to rescue your data just as the name implies. DiskWarrior will try to fix the hard drive and thus, could really screw up everything and then you'd have absolutely no hope of getting your data back. I would also lean more toward a data rescue app if thats you're main goal.
