If something works (Like a Mac) then it should be plugged. Recently I "lost" a WD terabyte hard-drive after after about a year and a half of good service. All of a sudden, it would not mount and disk utility could see it but returned "node" errors among other things. After a bit of searching on the net, the various boards all seemed to say that Disk Warrior was the ONLY way to go for retrieval.
Long story short; $100 and a two minute download followed by a five minute repair and I had a mounted image of my broken external. It was beautiful. It took me a few days to transfer all 970 gigs of data to the new drive as the old disk spun so slowly and froze if I tried to move more than 250 gigs at a time, but it is all moved and saved. THANK YOU DISK WARRIOR. Awesome app.
