I've noticed that my PowerBook has been running rather warm lately and the battery life is worse than ever (under an hour on a full charge). Now, I know that batteries die over time (and I think I need to get a new one soon anyway... it's almost 2 years old now), but something just seems to be up with my computer. I ran activity monitor and found something called "diskimages-helpe" and it seemed to be really using my CPU. After doing a force quit on it, my fans slowed down and I immediately got about 20 minutes better battery life.

What is this file? Does it need to be running? Will it run again after the next restart?

Thanks!
