Hey everyone. I'm new to Mac forum and hope someone out there can help.
I recently updated from DiskWarrior 4.1 to 4.2. Replaced 4.1, made the new "Boot CD" and then ran the Application to "graph" a directory on a 1 TB external drive. The directory was pretty jammed up so I decided to replace it.
Disk Warrior returned with "DiskWarrior has successfully rebuilt directory for the Disk " " " but can't replace it due to a Mac OS Services Failure. I can find no answers with a Google search and support isn't much better. Even the D.W user guide mentions little. Now I've done this before, restarting from the Boot CD to run repair, and when it was done the drive wouldn't boot. The grey circle with the line through it shows up. I then re-installed Snow Leop. Ran various utility software including Disk Utility/DriveGenius/ and Tech Tool Pro 4 and the drive passed with flying colors, so I don't think the external drive is the problem, besides it's just a week old. Then I ran D.W 4.2 on another drive that I know is clean, and on the newly installed 1TB drive, and D.W 4.2 returns with the same garbage. What is this OS service failure. What's Going on? Any Ideas or suggestions? Am I missing Something simple here? Please Help. Thanks in advance and thanks for having me.
