I'm puzzled by the lack of an update to good ol' DiskWarrior, one of my favorite apps for my App(le)s. Still no update for OS X 10.5, and their website looks rather dicey.

Anyone have any inside info on what's going on with them, and what problems they're facing with the update? Are they in good health? (business-wise)

I Too Await

I too await the release of a Leopard Disk Warrior. There is much to clean up apparently since I installed Leopard. My disk utility shows lots of errors, which Apple says to ignore until a further release. My isync no longer works with iCal connected between my Motorola Razr V3m cell and PowerBook G4 via a USB cable, iCal and my computer run as slow as molasses. Finally my Photosmart 2410 HP all-in-one no longer scans. Remind me to shoot myself if I ever upgrade again.

They always take forever to update IMO.

But given the type of tool they are, better to take one's time and get it right I suppose.

Disk Warrior 4.1 now "Leopard savvy" (their words)

01/21/2008 - Leopard Compatibility
DiskWarrior 4 version 4.1 is now available for complete compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). Version 4.1 offers additional repair capabilities including the ability to repair damaged directory hard links (a new feature of Leopard for Time Machine backups). DiskWarrior 4 version 4.1 is the only utility that can repair damaged links, directory loops and other problems that can happen with directory hard links.

Owners of DiskWarrior 4 version 4.0 will soon be able to download a free CD updater. When available, this free updater will allow you to create a new startup CD containing the updated DiskWarrior application. Please note that the new startup CD will start up the same set of Macs as your current DiskWarrior CD. Your new CD will not start up any Mac that your current DiskWarrior CD can not.

But you can't boot from disk with new Mac Pros, XServes or MacBook Air, yet.

All Mac models meeting the system requirements for DiskWarrior except the new Mac Pro and Xserve models introduced on 01/08/2008 and the MacBook Air introduced on 01/15/2008 can be started from the CD.
