A friend of mine has a camera card that had something haywire happen to it the other night while taking pictures, and now it won't mount or work in the camera. It's in FAT16 format, and I tried to verify it with Disk Utility, but I just got this instead:

could not read boot block (Input/output error)
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 non HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

So I thought that maybe DiskWarrior would be able to fix it (I got this same error with a HFS+ drive and DiskWarrior was able to repair the directory problem) but it wouldn't even see the card in the USB card reader.

Anyone have any suggestions, besides re-formating the card? I have VirtualPC, so if there are any PC utilities that can repair it, I could try that...
