"The all-share deal will make Steve Jobs, the chief executive of Apple, around $3.5bn and the single largest shareholder in Disney."

So he gets 3.5 bil AND becomes the largest shareholder in D?

I love the picture of the check to Lucas in "iCon" from Steve.

10 million. Lucas' wife took him to the cleaners. It must still hurt.

If Apple effectively exerts more control over Disney, (if Jobs did become a majority shareholder), just think of the power, especially with ABC. The media would suddenly become have a love-hate relationship with Apple I feel. A lot will still love, but many will be worried by their interest with ABC and so develop a hatred potentially.

I've never liked Disney though, so i have mixed feelings on any full scale association between the two.
