Hello,

So i have a macbook pro 2.53 core i5 8GB ram running OS X 10.9.5. My display started doing this, and i'm not sure why... is there a fix for this?

Please see attached image to see what i see.. This does not happen all the time, but it's about 2-3 times a day.

13"? 15"? What year.

Your post lacks info.

Nonetheless it's likely a faulty GPU.

That looks like a dying graphics card to me, if that is a 2011 15 inch with dGPU you have run into radeongate, and apple has a repair program running until feb 2016 take it in and get it fixed.
