Hello!

I'm finally taking the plunge and going Intel in the next few months, which means throwing out my loyal dual 17" ACD studio displays and going third party for monitors for the first time. I can't buy Apple's, unless they announce some new ones, as the current ones are simply too big and I need two for what I do. I can't physically fit two of the current Apple monitors on my desk :)

I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I notice a lot of people are using Dells but I'm really not keen on the brand. I use a Samsung at work and have started to hate it; my preference is LG if possible since I believe they have manufactured some of the great Apple screens I've used in the past(?).

I'll probably be getting a Mac Pro with two graphics cards so given that Mini Displayport doesn't seem to be coming to market for third parties any time soon I'll want two DVI-capable units. Extra ports (HDCP for HDMI in particular) would be a bonus. I don't care about VGA support as I have no equipment which uses it.

My ideal size is 19-22", preferably somewhere in the middle.

I hate gloss monitors. And I think I would vastly prefer IPS to TN.

All I've found so far is rumour of the LG Flatron W2220P but I don't understand if it's coming out here in the UK at all. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be very grateful to hear them. This is my first monitor purchase in about a decade and I can never tell if one is any good until I use it for long periods, by which time it will be too late!
