Display controller for LG display in 27" imac

My 2011 iMac finally died from excessive heat...criminal how Apple knows these machines are slowly melting away and refuses to admit it.

At any rate, the LG display panel in the iMac is fine -- I'd love to use this as a second display. Has anyone found a 3rd party display controller for one of these panels?
