This is my new m1 MacBook air. Ive closed it fully yet theres a gap in the sides. I could see the speaker grill. Also if my press the bottom and screen there it closes like a press and releases back. Can you guys see if you have this too? Do i have to take it to service? Also have you people experienced any battery number issues in your mac m1? my battery percentage increase when i plug out and also when i restart my mac. Also, the battery percentage doesn't change for long and drops quickly by a few percent.

The rubber casing on my sides floats without touching the bottom. Do you get to see your speaker grill too? Can check and see if you can press the sides and it touches the bottom and go back to float?

Perhaps, with recent reports from some M1 Macbook owners, that their screens cracked by themselves or by accidentally having some tiny-tiny debree between keyboard and screen, when closing, you should be happy that theres more room between screen and keyboard for accidental crack protection :D?

i dont know, im worried if i have a bent screen

No it is not :)

And what battery issues are you having
My battery doesn't drop for a while after i plug it out. Then the percentage decreases quite fast than normal. The percentage doesnt drop for the first 30 to 60min at all after plugging it out. Also if I restart the mac, the percentage goes up. And now i just found out my screen time shows 24hrs on my mac. I only used it for 3hrs and i closed the mac. Please help regarding these

It's okay OP try giving it a shut down and restart boot

The battery status indicator is not a fixed exact measurement as for instance liquid fuel in a tank. There are exactly a specified amount of fuel in the tank at any given time, and the total tank volume is fixed.

Counting percentage in a lithium battery cell is more of a guess work exactly how many ions there are at a given time on the positive and negative side. The percentage is calculated based on a lot of (really good) assumptions really. External factors are at play too, temperature etc.

That's why the percentage can't be linear, will jump sometimes, show 100% for long and then drop faster a while, and can differ after a restart.

All in all - there's probably nothing wrong with your Mac.
