About a week ago I installed some updates; nothing major to the OS. Recently I have noticed that when iTunes changes songs or movies the display flickers a light gray.

Any idea of what's happening? I've had the iMac for about a year. 1 year service actually runs out on November 10, 2012.

System:
27" iMac 2011 version
OSx 10.7.5

Update:
It's not the entire display, only the background and dock.

My screen flickers and all minimized apps open when iTunes switches songs.

I long ago quit using iTunes for music playback. My favorite is Clementine :)

I'd get it serviced. That shouldn't be happening under any circumstances.

It is a well known issue with iTunes... There is no current fix (nothing to get serviced).

Hopefully iTunes 11 will take care of it...

Thank you all for the response. That was my first thought; issue with iTunes. Makes sense, since it only happens when changing songs/ movies and just the background and dock flash, not the entire display.

Makes me feel better knowing it's iTunes and not my video card.
