Hey guys.
I'm going to be starting my first year of college next month and I'm rounding out all the items I'm bringing.

I'm looking to purchase a monitor that I can use as both a TV and an external display for my April 2K10 MBP.
According to UMass Cable Services FAQ #1/4, I need a display with a coaxial input, but I also want it to output my MBP screen at a native resolution.

Any suggestions/reviews?
Thanks.

Well, you'd need a television with VGA, DVI or HDMI input to do that. You'd get the best compatibility from something with HDMI. No need to worry about native resolutions. Your MBP should handle whatever resolution the TV is. Most new sets out there have HDMI. No suggestions on models though. I don't care about cable TV. You'll just need an MDP to HDMI adapter. Easy.

look up some computer displays that double with a cable jack input.. for example i have a samsung syncmaster 2333HD (1080p) display with dvi inputs (WHAT YOU WANT FOR MBP) and coaxial input for tv... along with hdmi, vga and composite inputs
