i have a 1080p lg tv, i found a cheap apple dual link dvi adaptor cable thats actually cheaper than the regular mini display port to dvi, would the dual link still work even if my tv isnt that high resolution
If you found a dual-link cable cheaper than a regular, then it probably won't work well. Plus it's not likely that your tv has a regular DVI input. You may have to go VGA or HDMI instead. Although if it does have DVI, and the adapter does work, then I'm sure it would support the lower resolutions.

well i found it for $30 dollars so not exactly cheaper but i figured i never knew if i would upgrade to a better display considering its normally $100. it was on ebay in like new condition, and i got a dvi to hdmi monster cable so as long as it supports the lower resolutions ill be happy
