Display info wanted

How can I find out what make/model display I have in my 2012 retina MBP?

Apple have just changed it free of charge ( ) because the original had a lot of dead pixels - and I'm just curious what kind they have given me.

You can check on the 13" models.

Goto >About This Mac>More Info>Displays>Displays Preferences>Color>Color LCD>Open Profile
Scroll to the bottom of the list and click on 'mmld'
The model number relates to which manufacturer you have, A018 are LG while A020 are Samsung.

A little while ago it was not certain what the different model numbers meant. Is there now some kind of certainty of that?

If you search the threads about the 13" rMBP, there are also reports of screens with model A013, A014, A015, A016, A019 and A022.

The A022 is a 15" Samsung (which I have), I *think* the A019 is the 15" LG.
Maybe the A013-016 are the MBA screens.

Has anyone been able to confirm which manufacturer the model numbers correspond to? I have not been able to find any confirmation about the 13" rMBP.

The 15" rMBP is a different case, as you can also find out the manufacturer by other means, and match the model number.
