I got a late 2012 mini 2 days ago (base model) and it has been working brilliantly but there is a problem with the display. My mini is connected to a Philips 150C4 Display (15" 1024 x 768 pixels, its from 2003!) via a miniDisplay port to VGA adapter. If I leave the mini idle for 10 mins, the screen goes black and it says "Entering Sleep Mode" (the power indicator light on the monitor goes from green to orange) .
I press any key on the keyboard and the monitor wakes up again. If I turn off and on the monitor, it stays black and "Video Not Detected" comes up on the display. I don't think its the mac mini or the adapter but I just want to be sure. Do you think its the display?

Here is the monitor in question:

Apologies for the lengthy post!

EDIT: Tried my housemate's Bush 23" 1440 x 900 LCD TV via the same adapter and the same thing happened. I would really appreciate any help, thanks!
