Hello,

I recently got my screen replaced on my 13" late 2016 Macbook Pro, after it was damaged from falling. I have had it back from repair for a couple days and have noticed some strange behavior with the new screen.

The monitor was immediately scaled up to a very large scale resolution. I know this can be changed in the System Preferences under the "Scaled" option but when it's set to the "More Space" setting which should be the highest resolution with the biggest screen real estate it instead appears very large. But when I select the option just before the "Larger Text" setting on the left side it goes to the highest resolution where this setting should normally be large scaled. It's as if the order of these settings has been mixed around.

The other issue I noticed is the mouse has been dissapearing sometimes from the the screen and the only way for me to see it again is to restart the computer. I have read on another thread that resetting the NVRAM could help with this. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into either of these issues, if I should bring it back again or if there is something I can do?

Any information would be much appreciated,
Thank you.

It sounds like you need to go back to where you had the screen replaced and have them sort it out.

Open the displays preference pane.
Hold down the option key and click "scaled".
It should show you ALL the resolutions possible.

Try EVERY ONE of them.
Do you find one or two you like best?
Use those.

See if the MB retains your setting during power downs/boot ups.

Re the mouse issue:
I have some software where the mouse sometimes "drops out of sight".
If this happens, what happens if you
- put a finger on the trackpad
- "shake it back and forth"
???
I think there is a setting (somewhere) that uses this to "reveal" the mouse by enlarging it.
No promises, just something to try.
