Display issues Late 2008 MBP

I hope I'm not spamming here as this is my first post. I was just looking for some help. Right now my screen looks like this:

It's an early 2008 mbp. It started looking like this a few weeks ago, but I could close it and reopen it sometimes and it would look perfectly normal. It runs an external display perfectly fine. I also just opened it up and replaced the lvds cable, but it didn't help and it still looks exactly the same. It has a dent near the LED driver board, could the driver board be the problem?

Take it in to Apple, its most likely the Nvidia 8600m giving out on you. The warranty has been extended 4 years on that model. Apple will put a revision 2 logic board on there for you. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2377

Ah thank you, I didn't know it had been extended. Hopefully they can do something for me.
