Hi forum!

I've had my iMac to service because of these display issues.
They are periodic errors and can sometimes be provoked.
The service guys sent my iMac back and charged me a fee for doing nothing!
Anyway, I'm taking it to a new place soon but I'd like to know if any of you Mac freaks have experienced this kind of error before.

They errors usually starts with some small blue og red dots/sprites and sometimes they're followed by messing up the interface like in this attached picture.

I have tried to replace the RAM but that didn't do it!

Thanks for your time!

Im pretty sure thats a 27" iMac issue (Ive never had anything like that across numerous Macs: iMacs, PowerMacs, PowerBooks and MacBooks - not 1 fault :) )

Where did you have it serviced where you said they charged you? Take a photo of the receipt.

If its a 24" Then Im pretty sure its a faulty graphics card part (A physical hardware fault) because on every 20 or 24" iMac Ive used (the 24" is the model I recommend to friends who Ive "moved" to the Mac) Ive never seen it, nor heard of it, so it is really rather odd. Its definitely either a GPU or Logic Board problem :)
