Has anyone found a display port to usb-c cable/adapter that is compatible with the caldigit TS3 dock? I've tried two or three different cables and I'm not getting a signal. I'm noticing color issues when using display port to HDMI so I'm trying to find alternatives.

What cables did you try? Some are not bidirectional - they only connect USB-C output to DisplayPort display.

What display do you want to connect to the dock? Some USB-C displays use two lanes of USB 3.x and two lanes of DisplayPort and therefore won't work with four lanes of DisplayPort with no USB.

For four lanes of DisplayPort 1.2 with USB 2.0, the Belkin Charge and Sync cable should work. Another option is the Wacom Link Plus.

A Sunix UPD2018 in a Thunderbolt PCIe expansion box can do two or four lanes of DisplayPort 1.2 with USB 3.x or USB 2.0.

Some of these options are expensive. In that case, if you are running Big Sur or later, then a Thunderbolt 4 hub or dock would be useful. A Thunderbolt 4 hub or dock can connect two USB-C or Thunderbolt displays. Another option is the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 which has a fully capable USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode port and it also works with Catalina and earlier macOS.

That's exactly what I'm finding tonight that the cables are mostly (if not all) bidirectional. I have a work around now because what's complicating this is sharing a display with a windows machine and a mac.

I wanted to go display port out of the caldigit box to usb-c since I'm already using usb-c to usb-c for my other display. It looks like my options are get a new tb4 dock, or mix and match the cables and memorize the correct inputs when swapping.
