I have a late 2009 27 inch iMac that is experiencing a display problem.

There is a gray cloudy line across the right-hand corner of the screen, and when I turn of the system, it looks like there are "sun streaks" across that part of the screen as well.

My DVD player/burner has also stopped working, and it is in the right-hand side of the system. Don't know if this is related.

The system has always run very hot.

Is this a heat issue? Has anyone seen this?

Google how to run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode and run AHT 3x. If any errors appear it has confirmed a hardware problem which requires you take it in for repair.
