Have a 15" Ti G4/667 Powerbook with a display problem. The backlight of the LCD will just go out randomly every few minutes. I can see the screen if I hold it up to the light so it appears as if the backlight is just going off. If I close the cover and let it sleep I can open it right back up and it will come on again for a while. But eventually it blinks out again. I noticed that it seems to stay on a little more reliably when connected to the power supply, but it still goes out. Not an energy setting problem either. Not an OS problem as I have been running Panther for several months with no problems.

Anyone experienced this and know what the problem might be? Someone suggested a new battery but I'm not sure about that.

Thanks,
Dave...
