Having problems with Mavericks on my mid 2007 iMac. Am noticing areas on the screen where there are moving diagonal lines (the best way I can describe it) and also on certain background colours like light grey there is a horizontal pin stripping effect. This problem is not present when using Mountain Lion.
Have been on to AppleCare who have gone through different troubleshooting techniques to try to resolve this problem but nothing has worked. So they said I would need to take it to the Genius bar so they can have a look at it.
I have posted about this issue on the Apple Support community and other people are experiencing the same issue. Seems to be happening with mid 2007 and early 2008 iMacs with either the ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or the 2400 XT https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5492753?start=0&tstart=0
