I just stumbled upon something for the display profiles and I was wondering if someone can link me to a guide for what on earth I am supposed to do with them/how to set them up/ which one is good for my mbp. see my signature for information about it.
 
They're used to make the colors on your display more accurate. You use them by placing them in your /Library/ColorSync folder, then going into System Preferences, Displays, Color and choosing whichever one you want to use. You can make your own by hitting the "Calibrate..." option, also in System Preferences, Displays, Color.
