So I recently purchased an LG 4k monitor, which is just fantastic. I have it connected to my MacBook Pro via a Caldigit Thunderbolt 3 Plus Dock (using DisplayPort 1.2), where I normally run it at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (Retina, 60hz).

Sometimes when waking up the machine the resolution will be the same but at 30hz (Other times it will drop down to 1920 x 1080 Retina, but still 30hz). When I check the options the original option is now missing. I've attached a screenshot showing how the "best" Retina resolution I can get is now only 1920 x 1080 (30Hz).

The weird part is then at some point the resolutions will return (without me having restarted the machine or replugged any cables).

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
