Display Sleep...Can't seem to change the settings

I have changed the Energy Saver Preference to put the display to sleep after 7 minutes, but after about 1 minute, the display goes dark. I need to press any key for it to come back on. This is a little annoying if I am reading a large document or something.

How do I change this? I tried looking in the display settings and the Energy Saver settings. Don't where else to look.
