Ever since upgrading to Sequoia my attached display (an LG OLED monitor) on my Mac Studio (M1 Max 32GB config) never turns off after a period of inactivity. Note I don't want the Mac to go to sleep, just turn off the display as its an OLED and don't want burn in. This used to work fine. Currently on latest 15.1.

Looking in settings I have the following:

pmset -g output:

System-wide power settings:

Currently in use:

disksleep 0

powernap 1

womp 1

networkoversleep 0

sleep 0 (sleep prevented by sharingd, powerd)

Sleep On Power Button 1

ttyskeepawake 1

tcpkeepalive 1

autorestart 1

standby 0

displaysleep 3

Everything seems to be set correctly is there a new definition of "activity" that is preventing display sleep? I haven't changed my apps used, Mail, Safari and messages might be open but I thought inactivity was simply lack of input (either mouse or kb usage).

Try setting start screensaver when inactive to Never. Leave rest the same

Tried... set screensaver to never and display sleep to 1 minute so its easier to test.

Funny thing I notice is when I had a value set for the screensaver, it was turning on, which is better than nothing, and means the Mac is at least counting inactivity correctly... the problem seems to be telling the display to turn off. I wonder if there is a way I can diagnose that... didn't see anything that stuck out in console or logs.

So I think the issue was a I had a "trust devce" prompt on my watch as I use apple watch signon... once I accepted that it began dimming the monitor.
