Today, I opened my MBP to see this on my screen (view attached image). It's the second time it's happened. I was able to fix it by just command-tabbing a few times, and moving windows around, but I'm afraid it may happen more.

Any ideas? I'm ready to call Apple and have it replaced, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Download istat pro and see if your fans are working..

that looks like graphics card overheat.... maybe apple's crappy application of thermal paste we have seen so much of lately... i would demand a replcment

hhhmm my gf has not the same problem, but a similar problem. her 15' flickers some windows, say if i move a window accross the screen it might distort, kind of like what your whole screen is experiencing but on a smaller scale. hers works fine but i think it just needs a gpu firmware update, maybe 10.5.3 will address it.?

My computer was cold when I opened it. It had been sitting in my bag for about 2 hours, and I haven't played any games with it for at least 36 hours.
