After having no display for months, I decided to buy a logic board online and switch it out. I did tonight, and now I have video showing, but it has thin stripes and odd color! Also, when I use the DVI out to my TV, the picture is perfect! I'm very confused.

I reset pram and smc. No luck.

I believe I checked all connectors, but is it possible it's just a loose display cable from the logic board? It's just so weird to me that it works fine on the external, but has this issue on the MBP display.

It's either a loose cable or a bad GPU. Open it up and check all connections are secure and free of trapped dust. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks for the reply. I will check for dust and connectors. I just have a hard one believing the gpu is bad when the external works fine. Then again, I've been known to kick a dead horse or two.
