I just bought a Powerbook G4 off of Clist. The previous owner replaced the screen with a higher resolution screen from a newer Powerbook. The display looks great, except that it doesn't fill the whole screen. There is a long group of colored lines on the right side, and the bottom starts to show the top of the display (it looks almost tiled and shows the screen again on the bottom). I'm guessing that this is just a formatting issue, but I'm not sure how to correct it. I would greatly appreciate some advice on this issue. Thanks!

yikes - I'm no expert, but I don't think there is an easy way of getting this to work.

The on-board video chip is looking for a 1024*768 display (or whatever was native to it originally). You are going to be hard-pressed to find a hack to change this.

Maybe someone with more knowledge knows of a way to change this, but it is unlikely.
