I have a question for owners of iPad Mini retina with flawless display.

Unfortunately, I've got a blue tint on top, and a yellow one on the left side. My SN starts with DLXLL, what about yours? I will have another iPad tomorrow, and I'd like to know which factory was able to manage better with displays :).

Mine's a DLXLL too. Having the same problem like you with the blue line on top. I got it exchanged and I got the same problem with this iPad mini and it's a DLXLL. Is yours a 16 gb wifi space grey model too?

16GB Silver.

So DLXLL is useless. Hope to get sth else and better.

Thanks.

Trying to determine screen quality by serial
number is a waste of your time and ours.

My wife's is DLXL and is perfect.

That said, why do people think the first four numbers of the serial number indicate the display manufacturer? I haven't seen one iota of evidence that suggests this is the case.

Interesting, I guess it's based on the manufacturing/shipping batch then. I was at the eaton centre apple store and all 6 of the space grey rMini units have that blue line near the status bar. Even the geniuses can see it the moment they picked it up.

I guess I'll wait for another shipment to come in and do an exchange.

I'm gonna replace my iPad within 40 minutes. Wonder what it will be like.

@up - ;-).

I've got the second one, but didn't have enough time to test it. Let's hope that this iPad (also DLXL) will be good...

DLXLM here and a great screen. The one I returned had a yellow tint issue but I didn't get the code from that one

Holy moly! Now the screen is without blue edges but yellow-blue gradient is even more visible ;-). Gonna wait for another shipment (2-3 weeks).
