I have a problem with a recently purchased DisplayPort adapter. Have previously been using my external monitor with my old MacBook White(2008 model) with no problem, but now that I want to use it with my new Macbook Pro I do not get picture on the monitor. It finds the monitor, but no picture.

I've tried the adapter with the TV and a hdmi to dvi cable + DisplayPort to dvi adapter. Then it works fine.

I have used the monitor for over a year with the old MacBook without any problems. I have also tried with my neighbours Macbook Pro, but the same problem, works on the TV, but not on the monitor.

I use a DVI Digital Single Link cable from the monitor to display port adapter.

Any tips?
