Hey guys. This is one of the sites i frequent for mac news, thought i'd give these forums a try because im having some problems with color.

I have an external monitor connected to my MacbookPro(my first mac; purchased on June 5th) and the color displays differently on the monitor than on the macbook's screen.

The image on the monitor appears to have a blue tint.

Now this is where it gets weird-ish.

When i close the macbook pro, and reopen it, i see the image with that blue tint on my macbook's screen. Then it quickly filters/changes into what i see now.

I havnt altered anything intentionally on my mac.

It kinda sucks because i have no idea how images i make on my mac [PS and AI and such] will appear on the screens of others.

Any advice or help you guys can give me in sorting this out?

I've been tinkering with it and i still cant get it right.

Is there a way to check whether my mac is displaying color right?

I have access to basically every color in photoshop when im making things, so Im not sure if Im just picking a more concentrated color or not.

Maybe Gateway monitors just arent meant for macs ; ;.
