Displaying VmWare Fusion Vista app on my HDTV

I have successfully hooked up my MacBook Air to my HDTV using the DVI connector. I'm trying to display my Computrainer program running on Vista through VMWare Fusion. Unfortunately the external video display does not project VMware fusion apps - anyone ever tested this or know of a workaround?
