Displayport>DVI issue: keeps forgetting wallpapers

I just got a new MBP, and it seems that every time i reconnect my external monitor with a Displayport>DVI adaptor, the wallpaper is changed to the standard wallpaper on both monitors.

I've tried to wipe com.apple.desktop.plist in ~/Library/Preferences, but the problem persists.

Anyone else noticed this?
