Distance from iphone

Tried to see if this has been mentioned before but couldn't see anything

Does anyone know the maximum distance the watch can be from the phone to still fully work
Eg if at gym can I leave my phone in a locker and still get notifications on my watch

Bluetooth range is about 10 meters. Not all that far really.

But if your gym has wifi they'd talk over that and you'd be all set.

30 feet or so...unless on the same wifi....
