Hello all,

Not sure if this has been discussed/rumoured or whether there is a workaround.

I've recently got a video doorbell which alerts me when it detects someone at my front door and since I've had the doorbell its shown me problem I've had with the Apple Watch for while.

If I get a call or iMessage on my Watch then I know what those notifications are however other apps which I use a lot include - WhatsApp, Twitter, Podcasts, My Bank, Dark Sky, FlashScores and Reminders (I'm sure there are others). On Apple Watch the notification vibration and sound effect are exactly the same so I'm likely to miss a more important notification when a WhatsApp group chat is in full flow.

I'd love Apple to open up the sounds & haptics to developers so you can distinguish a WhatsApp message to a Ring Doorbell notification.

Is this something others want?
Is there some sort of setting or work around that I'm missing?

I hope this is something Apple are considering for future WatchOS releases.
