Distorted noise (cracking/popping)

Hello,

Had a quick question. I just recently purchased a Haswell MBA and I am getting a cracking/popping noise when watching videos.

Heres the thing, it only seems to happen when using Chrome? When I use Safari it goes away and seems to work fine. Has anybody had similar results?

If it only happens in one piece of software then it's a software problem.

No I don't have problem in Chrome.

It's probably something being over-amplified in Chrome. Try turning the volume slider down in Chrome.

yep, i get the crackling too. it's not the speakers. when i plug in headphones, i still get it. and when i play in itunes, or movie file, it is fine. software related only when streaming online content... i haven't yet tried the other browsers.

Just get rid of the browser... or reinstall it.
