I tried reseting the phone via iTunes (even though I don't understand how this could be a software issue).

Has someone seen anything similar, either on the iPhone 11 or earlier models? I've never blasted the speakers with high volume (I even use AirPods 99% of the time).

Do you guys think I'll just get a new phone, or will they take it for repair for a few days? I was just about to sell my XS but I might keep it in case this phone goes for repair.

Technically if you're within the 14-day return window, you could return/exchange for a new phone. If not, then I would ask Apple first before handing anything over. A few years back one of my new iPhone's had a small chip/scratch in screen before I even used it. Apple quickly exchanged with no issues since it was new.

(If you bought directly through Apple)

It's directly from Apple. Just that I purchased it when traveling in US, whereas I live in Apple. I know Apple's warranty is global, but I don't know if the 14-day return window is global as well?
