If I wanted to end my cellular plan on my Apple Watch, can I do it all through the Watch app or do I also need to contact my carrier. No contract on watch

In the Watch app on your iPhone you can remove your current cellular plan for the the watch. I got the cellular version for the emergency contact ability and fall response. You also contact your carrier and tell them you no longer need the cellular service. I am sure you can start it again or if you change carriers, you could get it again with them. For me it is like an insurance policy. Once in a while I will answer a call on it when the iPhone is in the house.

Good advice above however, when I stop my cellular plan with Verizon and after confirmation, I checked the next statement and it showed that I still had it. Called again to verify that I canceled and it was told that it was not. Evidently the rep did not cancel my cellular and I had a call two months in a row to get this sorted out. Just a heads up

This just removes the line from your watch, it doesn’t cancel the line. The watch even warns you that removing the line won’t cancel the line. To cancel the line you need to contact the carrier.
