ditching verizon, question about ETF

I realize that there probably are far more AT&T folks here than Verizon, but I do have a question that hopefully can be answered here.

I'm currently an additional line on someone else's family plan with verizon, what should I expect if I choose to port my number to AT&T when I get the new iPhone? Will they still charge me the ETF? I'm not a primary line nor is anyone else on the family plan canceling their service, it's just my number.
