soo, i have attempted to watch several videos via safari that require DivX that say I don't have it installed. It is installed. I decided to try Firefox and it worked. Does DivX just not work with Safari?

The DivX plug-in is not a Safari plug-in, it is a QuickTime codec. Do you have the QuickTime plug-in set to handle .avi video? Using Belt and Suspenders Theory, it is a good idea to also download and install the Perian codec suite.

i do not. i had no idea all the things involved with it. once i get home to my computer i'll check it out and see if things straighten out. thanks for the help!
