i have some divx i want to be .mov, whats the best way for me batch covert these?

i have toast, compressor, qt pro, fcp, ae...

is there a codec for compressor for it to read them?

looking for something free...
considering i have compressor and quicktime pro.
i was hoping for something like a plugin or codec.

ridiculous as powerful as compressor is it fails at divx.

VisualHub is the best solution for transcoding on OS X when it comes to performance and ease of use.

In before command line solutions.

Compressor is a professional program meant for exporting commercial-quality deliverables and as such, DiVX isn't really a commercially-accepted deliverable that would adhere to say, the DVD and Blu-ray specifications.

You can't really fault them for not supporting DiVX. I'm pretty sure that Sorensen Squeeze doesn't support DiVX transcoding, either. Someone tell me if I'm wrong.

i dont fault them but i wish they would help more with batch exporting things like flash and divx, for things like web based companies.

i also have a few xvid's. ugh...

but i forgot about iSquint.
it work well enough.

perian

I use fcp and compressor ass well. When I download movies (which is legal in my country) and they are in divx I only could play them in VLC. But the solution to play them in any product of apple is to get quicktime to read it. And for that you need a component. You can gather them from the internet, or you can get them all at one through perian. Perian has placed the most in one package. So download perian from perian.org and install. (instructions on there, but the help you a little bit finding the library: go to finder, macintosch HD and there you'll find library). Good luck.
